Lindsay Lohan – Somewhat Attractive (With Makeup) And Quite Stupid

Lindsay Lohan’s condolence letter to the family of deceased director Robert Altman is frightening in its idiocy.  Poor spelling and grammar (this isn’t an IM chat, folks, this is a condolence letter) are only the half of it, and she’s reported to have received straight As in school?  Rather damning evidence that she wasn’t well taught.

I’m not perfect in spelling and grammar, either, but I’m FAR ahead of her abilities in that department of basic education.

Note to Lindsay: don’t do body shots of tequilla off Paris Hilton’s ass before writing a condolence letter… you go write, I’ll do the body shots for you.

Ahmadinejad Is A Liar

The Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, wrote a letter to the American people.  Its drips with solipsism and false declarations of well-intent.

You can read the letter at CNN, Atlas Shrugs, or any number of news sources.

You can read a partial rebuttal (so much more could be added to it) over at Texas Rainmaker.

This guy is slime, the mullahs he represents are slime, and I would prefer the people of Iran to “grow a pair” and shake off the yoke of Shari’a Law.  However, if they feel their religion is more important than my life, prepare for an ass-kicking.

Senator Bill Nelson’s Response To My Email For John Bolton

subject  RE: Your response from Senator Bill Nelson

Dear Mr. Solomon:

Thank you for contacting me regarding President Bush’s recent appointment of John Bolton for a second term as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

The ongoing Global War on Terrorism requires that we cooperate with other nations. Now, more than ever, we must foster our relationships in the global community. Our membership in the UN serves an important strategic purpose in advancing U.S. policies and interests through multilateral diplomacy. The U.S. played a major role in the creation of the UN and continues to maintain a strong leadership role throughout the organization.

As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, I was an active participant in John Bolton’s first Senate confirmation process. I did not support John Bolton’s nomination based on failures in his past job as Arms Control Negotiator. Both Iran and North Korea increased their nuclear know-how and their arsenal of weapons during his tenure in office. For these reasons, I voted against his nomination in committee. As you know, President Bush appointed him Ambassador to the UN without proper Senate confirmation, and I am assessing his recent work at the United Nations. I will look carefully at all aspects of his performance and character to determine his suitability for continued office.

I appreciate your taking the time to be informed on this issue. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future.

Unleash The Beast

From VariFrank.com, a good article about war, and a quote:

If the people raise a great howl against my barbarity and cruelty, I will answer that war is war, and not popularity seeking.

War is, at its best, barbarism.

This war differs from other wars in this particular: We are not fighting armies but a hostile people, and must make young and old, rich and poor, feel the hard hand of war.

General William T. Sherman

I despise the tactic of not winning a war.  This has been going on since Korea, when we didn’t want to piss off the Chinese, so we backed off to the 38th parallel and attempted a staying action.  So we end up with a stalemate that STILL isn’t resolved… and we set the stage for warfare in the second half of the 20th century: half-measure war.

Sometime soon we’re going to have to elect someone who isn’t afraid to unleash the beast; someone who will truly fuck up the enemy, civilians be damned, they just need to know they either get out of town or die with the enemy combatants they harbor.

Typical dKos: Blame Bush For Appropriately Correcting A Democrat

From Daily Kos:

Bush, being a petulant prick again:

At a private reception held at the White House with newly elected lawmakers shortly after the election, Bush asked Webb how his son, a Marine lance corporal serving in Iraq, was doing.

Webb responded that he really wanted to see his son brought back home, said a person who heard about the exchange from Webb.

“I didn’t ask you that, I asked how he’s doing,” Bush retorted, according to the source.

Webb confessed that he was so angered by this that he was tempted to slug the commander-in-chief, reported the source [...].

So lemme get this straight, Bush asks Webb how Webb’s son is doing in Iraq.  Webb responds he wants to see his son home.  Bush says he didn’t ask what Webb wanted, he asked how his son was doing in Iraq.  Webb is therefore furious and wants to hit Bush.

dKos translation: Bush is a prick?

dKos title: “Too Bad He Didn’t Swing”?!

Kos’s puerile interpretation is beneath contempt.

Update 20061130: Even MORE evidence that Webb is a belligerent buffoon and dKos is a social misfit:

From the Washington Post:

“How’s your boy?” Bush asked, referring to Webb’s son, a Marine serving in Iraq.

“I’d like to get them out of Iraq, Mr. President,” Webb responded, echoing a campaign theme.

“That’s not what I asked you,” Bush said. “How’s your boy?”

“That’s between me and my boy, Mr. President,” Webb said coldly, ending the conversation on the State Floor of the East Wing of the White House [...]

I have never in my life heard someone say, in reference to a question about their child, “That’s between me and my boy.” It’s like Webb didn’t know what to say except his talking points from his campaign.

And dKos?

The Washington Post doesn’t include Webb’s desire to slug the president. Which was endearing in its own right.

Yeah… socially retarded. Kos is the kid who admired the bullies in school, as long as they didn’t pick on him.

Atlas Shrugs Shits On Family Values

Pamela, Pamela, Pamela… If the families were Christian or Jewish, would it be okay then?  What’s wrong with settling out of court?  Maybe it’s the need to see every ill-action punished by the state instead of cleaned up by the families of the aggressors and the victims?

Guilty of common sense while Muslim?

Mr Yusuf said a group of Somali youths were arrested on suspicion of stabbing another Somali teenager. The victim’s family told the police it would be settled out of court and the suspects were released on bail.

A hearing was convened and elders ordered the assailants to compensate their victim. “All their uncles and their fathers were there,” said Mr Yusuf. “So they all put something towards that and apologised for the wrongdoing.”

Sharia law shouldn’t be the official law of any western nation (well, any nation, in my opinion, since it’s theocratic law), but for those who can settle out of (state) court and use it amongst themselves, that’s called family values.  Christians and Jews do it every day, and Muslims are no different.

This is just a very poor example of what the author was trying to explain, I think.

Nigga, Please

From Cox & Forkum:

Atlas Shrugs – Yea For Dennis Prager, Nay For Freedom Of Religion

Over at Atlas Shrugs, that hot-looking chick (Pamela Geller Oshry) parrots Dennis Prager’s Townhall article:

UPDATE: And let’s discuss who decides what book a congressman takes his oath on ………..America or Keith Ellison?

I am with Prager on this;

Keith Ellison, D-Minn., the first Muslim elected to the United States Congress, has announced that he will not take his oath of office on the Bible, but on the bible of Islam, the Koran. He should not be allowed to do so — not because of any American hostility to the Koran, but because the act undermines American civilization.

First, it is an act of hubris that perfectly exemplifies multiculturalist activism — my culture trumps America’s culture. What Ellison and his Muslim and leftist supporters are saying is that it is of no consequence what America holds as its holiest book; all that matters is what any individual holds to be his holiest book.

What the….

How can anyone honestly say they condone forcing someone of another religion to uphold his oath of office on a bible that isn’t his own?  This kind of reactionary illogic stuns me.

Why not just slap his face and tell him his beliefs are not welcome in this country?  Oh yeah, because that would be WRONG!
