I understand why people want to make things easier for others, but they forget that every single law can and will be abused. Something like this will dangle forbiddingly over the head of every single man in Mexico, will be used as a blunt legal object of coercion, and is a singularly bad law on its face. Will it help some women? Of course. Will it harm more men than it helps women? I guarantee it. It’s the abuse of the law will inevitably come from it that makes it retarded.
