When someone on the street or on the TV says “health care is broken”, you take a drink. :>
Health care is not broken, health INSURANCE is broken. Insurance is all about Teh Socialism: everyone pays so those who are sick have their claims paid. Those who don’t file claims just lose money.
It sounds nice, right? Helping out others, and when you need help it’s there for you. But that’s not always the way it turns out. You can be denied a claim, your rates go up if you make a claim, and insurance raises prices because doctors and hospitals are dealing with faceless companies for their money, and they have no fear of charging more to some faceless company. Plus administration costs go way up just to keep up with billing and collection.
Remember, the USA has most of the best doctors in the world. The healthCARE isn’t broken at all, it’s how to pay for the health care that’s broken, and therefore it’s health INSURANCE that’s broken.
Kill the insurance industry.
