A preview of the inevitable let down of high expectations of The Savior of the World: Communists celebrate Obama victory.
But from which quarter will the disappointment be greatest? Will it be the “progressive” base of the new Obama Democratic party if The One turns out to be the pragmatist and non-ideologue that he claims he to be? Or will it be from the millions of centrists who voted for Obama when it turns out that his vague yet inspirational message of “change” really means remolding America in the image of European socialism so admired by the Left?
To be honest, I’m not sure. What I am sure of is that no one that can get the vote of Communists as well as blue collar Democrats can please both sides.
