And yes, as long as the video is relevant to a story, then more video would be a good idea. Just be sure to keep backups, as it’s more than likely that — if you use a service like YouTube to store and embed your videos — sometime in the future that service will be gone.
Also, I got the link to Xtranormal.com from Consumerist.com, so just keeping the link-love going.
While the Xtranormal video was fun to play with, I made it more as a parody of what you see on news sites rather than the kind of video I’d use on Lakeland Local.
It made my daughter laugh, so that was enough for a Sunday morning.
I read Consumerist. I missed it somehow.
Hey, “anything to make the kids laugh” is my motto, too. That and “don’t you dare touch that or I’mma beat you like a red-headed step child!” lol
Note: I don’t have kids, but I have friends who bring theirs over.

As for using more real video on LL, I’m all for it, especially if it gives more depth to a story. The problem with video is making it, editing it, and posting it. A lot of work, even with the really simple movie tools that are available.
